Foreign investment in Mexico quintupled from 1994 to 2001, says Tufts University economist Kevin Gallagher. Unfortunately, he says, "It didn’t translate into growth" or jobs.
I've been to Mexico many times, including recently. And I've been all over that country over many years. The above statement is simply ludicrous.

Experience brings to the fore the mistakes made by the original architects. The US Constitution has been changed 27 times since adoption. NAFTA undoubtedly could do with some tuning.

OTOH, so could the UN Charter. The idea that a nation as insignificant as France has a permanent Security Council seat with veto power is ludicrous.
