Well then, what I sound like & what I am are two different things. If you read everything I said on the subject thus far, that is quite clear. I am no vigilante, troublemaker, nor do I use excessive tactics. That is a fact. It's funny how just about everyone who has given their 2¢ worth has overstated & exaggerated what you folks think I do compared to what I've expressly stated I do. And based on your clear mis-perception of the facts, you call me names & inappropriately label me. I don't ever try to seek out speeding tailgaters. It's only when they find me that I don't back down (like when I'm passing a line of slower moving cars). What is so horrific about the fact that I don't speed up or make an illegal lane change to allow them to pass me? "Since you are speeding you've decided that no one is allowed to speed more then you?" That is your clear mis-perception of the facts. I never said that nor do I think that. I have just as much right to use the passing lane as the next guy. If someone wants to drive 80+ when I'm already passing slower moving cars at 70+ in a posted 55, they can wait until it's safe for me to change lanes. And remember, I'm speeding, but they are speeding & tailgating, which is exponentially more dangerous..... not to mention those who make illegal lane changes (less than a foot or two clearance between bumpers) & drive recklessly to pass me. Why is it you find fault only with me? What makes it OK for them to drive far more recklessly than me? Somehow, you all find fault with me for legally maintaining my lane (& I don't alter my speed). I don't violate any additional laws other than speeding. However, you don't express any outrage for the real scofflaws who regularly break more laws & genuinely endanger more lives. Yet you are certain you are right & it's me who is wrong?!? I've driven hundreds of thousands of miles on our highways. If I drove like you folks want me to, I would have spent several hundreds more hours in transit allowing scofflaws to intimidate me. That's not going to happen under the conditions I have described.
