I don't hear Republicans talk much about States Rights now that they control the federal government. Why do you suppose that is?

Nope, study history, and you will note that politics is not immune from the laws of physics. And the pendulum doth swing from left to right. So when too far to the right...left it will go.

The political strategy that works in 2004 is capturing the center. I do think that the republicans have the upper hand right now, but then November is a ways off. It may be that in 2008 the pendulum will switch directions.

We'll see.
