Sure you can find bad news somewhere in the great econ news.

But let's get real. In one breath you are complaining about the falling dollar. in the next breath you warn of higher interest rates ahead. Well golly gee, everyone knows that rates will rise over the next 18 mos. And that will strenghten the dollar.

Furthermore, new refi applications have almost stopped. This means that the folks who were going to refi already have, and have locked in record-low rates for the long term - 20 or 30 yrs. At the same time, consumer spending remains fairly tepid, teling me that people are not letting themselves get back into high debt.

Did you know that over 35% of homeowners own their homes outright?

<<Since Mr Bush was born with a silver spoon in his mouth he hasn't clue what fiscal responsibility means. >>

Dean and gore were both born chomping on silver spoons. Kerry's I believe was gold. I don't recall the name of that exclusive country club in the Hamptons that excludes blacks and other minorities and which H Dean's family has been in for years - do you?
