I hardly condone the terrorists. I think the Bush administration used 9/11 by linking it to Iraq in every sentence uttered after. Go through speeches by Bush and admistration officials, and count the mentions of 9/11 closely followed by something about Iraq or Saddam. This is in the big lie tradition of the Tonkin Gulf.
I think there are any number of ways we could confront terrorism that would be more effective than invading Iraq. Invading Iraq has created MORE terrorism, as Rumsfeld worried about in his "leaked" memo.
