This game will get allot uglier once scarcity begins to be felt.

In 1980, OPEC had a 25% reserve capacity above world demand for crude oil.

Today that figure is below 2%.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "once scarcity begins". :)

Also here (Ontario) the Atomic Energy Commission is now calling for the construction of 8 new reactors... OTOH they have a hard row to hoe with the ongoing investigation of Pickering A being offline and huge cost overruns.
