Greenie seems happy he has averted the "kontradieff winter" by his and Bush's clever burst bubble handling. Maybe he thinks he has achived the impossible, the holy grail in finance - live beyond your means with no hangovers.

It is kinda like the neocons patting themselves how smart they have been in liberating the Iraqis and showing them democracy/capitalism.

I think this sets the stage for furthering Bubble-II and War on Terror - Part III as the people at the levers thinks they have god-like powers.
