T, A conservative like Goldwater has my respect. I can see why some believed that "in your heart you know he's right." I still lean a bit toward "in your guts you know he's nuts." But he had some consistent thought patterns.

I think a neocon is a right wing wannabee who had to sit at the children's table while the grownups talked about waging war on the poor, destroying education and making minimum wage servants out of everyone whose skin color doesn't fade in the winter. But both the neocons and the liberals have their hands out and votes for sale. I think greed out trumps ideology every time.
