<< I remember the "peace talks" in 52 and 53. Exasperating people.>>

Didn't it take like 20 years just to get NK to agree to the shape of the table?

"Exasperating people."

Bill,
Same could be said for South Koreans, no? Folks in your advanced age group<g> still carry the Korean War with them as do/did many WW2 vets against the Japanese. Many in my generation, in contrast, have already made their own personal peace with the Vietnamese whether they were pro or con the war.
NK is a 5 nation problem. NK can't attack every one of them. The solution is in some sort of an agreement that attempts to put them on the chinese road to prosperity minus nukes and wmds. The Khaddafi example offers their leaders an alternative to what they may have thought was their only example, saddam. Brilliant contrast given to our enemies by Bush, i think. (Syria, Iran and others are looking at this same choice as well)
Yes and i dont trust the NKoreans on whit, so verification is very important and the committment of our asian allies to the trust but verify caveat is equally important. Hopefully our asian allies won't be drinking french wine any time soon. Mike
