Only regret I have is in the mid 80's the Navy was over manned and once it rid itself of the problem children it took on anyone else it could find. I got caught up with a knee that was a problem at times. So I ended up medically retired though I wanted to be career Navy. After fighting the boot for 2 years I gave up and am medically retired. In fact they sent me on my way 3 days before my latest reenlistment began. The one they paid me 16,000 dollars to sign for. Unreal. But I have my ID and I get my monthly check so I suppose I should be happy with that.
