I've read that if you take the Arab middle east and scale it to a football field, the land of Israel would be the size of a match box. And if you take the US and scale it to the size of a football field, I'm sure New York City would be smaller than a matchbox. So let's just give NYC away to al Qaeda. I'm sure you would think that perfectly just, wouldn't you? Israelis haven't been given anything. Piffle. The UN awarded them part of Palestine. Have you conveniently forgotten the 1947 U.N. Resaolution calling for the partition of Palestine into a Jewish and an Arab state? Sure, they had to fight to control it -- if the UN gave my home to the Russians I would fight to keep it, too. Now if you want to talk about solutions - go ahead. We really don't need to debate history again for a few hundred posts. Any problem can be solved if you ignore the past totally. But maybe you haven't noticed it, but people do care about the past, they do care about land they have lived on for centuries, they do care about the places where there ancestors are buried, they do care about places that are holy to them. Silly people.
