True, Milk picks toast for a running mate.

All though at the time Joe was doing a good job of campaigning. Helped secure the Jewish vote no doubt, but that was not too much in question to begin with.

In retrospect, I think that Joe has discredited himself.

I think orca recalls it right. Joe was quite popular at the time. There was quite a bit of speculation that they had the ticket upside down- -Joe should have been running for Prexy.
