"The incident is absolutely not the result of a terrorist act, but is linked to a technical failure of the plane," said Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher.

The Egyptians will never admit Egyptian Pilot error. They will admit Terrorism only if forced to.

Switzerland, I heard on the news this morning, banned the plane from the country a while back for safety reasons....

Re: Doesn't anyone else think it's strange that both Egypt and France could rule out terrorism within a matter of hours after the plane crashed.....killing all 148 aboard...and before ANY tests had been taken of ANY of the wreckage....?????

What do you expect? Egypt publicly accusing Israel's Mossad of having planted a bomb in the aircraft?

The bomb was likely planted in the plane in Venice, Italy... where Israeli agents could count on Italian secret service to look the other way.... (Thank you Mr Berlusconi!) Then it was remotely triggered when the plane took off in Sharm-el-Sheikh. As I said, we've entered the age of Terror Diplomacy. Israel has just killed two birds with one bomb: the prime target was Egypt because she supports Syria and Arafat and gets closer to Iran... and, of course, France had to be hit as well for her opposition to the US crusade and her pro-Arab tilt....
