Coal gasification? If the environazi's could ever learn to be practical maybe we could get legislation passed and enforced to replace all these old grandfathered coal plants with larger capacity state of the art coal plants with SCR's and scrubbers and so forth. (I am not an expert on the coal side) But no doubt the environmental benefit would be significant. We need more coal generation capacity, but we also need to make best use of available technology to provide the clean coal fired power. I think Joe B must have updated the weather forecast with no help from others because it looks like the ice age is coming with the revised 15 day forecast.
