Drat - wasn't able to catch today's airing of Maggie Balistreri's talk. Stopped by two bookstores earlier today to look for her book - Borders had just sold the only copy they had and Barnes and Noble didn't have any. Looks like yesterday's show sold some books.

When will the people who do the ordering for these bookstore chains wise up and anticipate demand for titles featured on BookTV? This happens time and again...

Super, I guess.

I saw Peter Pan with my kids. The new movie is head and shoulders above anything that's ever been done with the story before. Hook/Mr. Darling was fantastic- and the rest of the cast was great too. Not an "F" word in it, either.

Saw some great foreign movies over vacation- Man on the Train, The Spanish Apartment, and Enlightenment Guaranteed, as well as Fellini, I'm a Born Liar- which I rented again. SUCH a good movie about Fellini.

I'm going to see House of Sand and Fog and Cold Mountain this week. I liked both the books, especially House of Sand and Fog. Am looking forward to comparing book with movie.
