I heard part of the Democratic debate today. Dean was asked about his intention to use religion more, wasn't this just opportunism. He replied to the effect that the President has be comfortable in the mileu of every part of the country, and he intended to learn how to do that. I had a sudden vision of Karl Rove, rubbing his hands in anticipation. I thought back to Bush's acceptance speech from the 2000 Republican convention, where he declared, "I am not running in borrowed clothes." That was a good line & I predict it will be recycled.
