The Viet Nam debacle was created and unwittingly sustained by the man who decided not to run for a second elected term.

Viet Nam also had the added inclusion of the Soviet Union and continued arms support.

I don't think IRAQ has the longevity for such a period as was experienced in Viet Nam.

The Iraqi people don't wish for the US to leave and have another country like IRAN collect the spoils. They may very well want to enjoy the brief freedoms that have recently experience and improve on them.

I keep asking myself what was the purpose of this war. It was not a war on terror. It was not a war that needed imminent action. The only conclusion one can come to is to read the writings of the very administration members that are the architects of the current policy in Iraq. If you have not read the complete works written by Perle, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld, Cheney and others, you cannot understand the predetermined nature of this war.

Read it and ask yourself again why we have brought this war to Iraq?

While I do believe that we owed it to the Iraqi people to be freed from Saddam, I also believe that we, and our allies could have accomplished the same without firing a shot.

The real problem in Iraq, as we see today, is that there was never an exit plan from this war. This fact alone supports that there never was an intended exit. Read the writings of the PNAC.

To return this country to sanity, Vote Democrat in 2004.

Thank You,
Orca
