Nah If you read the stories by service guys from Vietnam- collecting ears, mutilating corpses, killing children- it's always a temptation for someone scared, and carrying a gun. There isn't enough training in the world to eliminate bad behavior by all your soldiers- you just have to go in knowing that, and thus, commit your forces only in the most dire of situations. Iraq hardly qualified as a dire situation for the US- although now that we've "invaded" it, I guess it does.
