"The FINEST MINDS at the time were implemented to select and interpret the various letters that ultimately went into what we call today the New Testament." Finest minds perhaps, but their goal was to create a universal church, which was not Jesus's intention. What does it say when a John follower calls a Thomas follower a heretic, both are followers of Jesus's saying. In fact, if Thomas was Jesus's most beloved disciple, why is his gospel not included in the New Testament. I know why, because in that gospel, Jesus speaks out against organized religion.
