Gold (and silver) opening strong this am.
AU 419; AG 6.19 now.

This type of open just after a long holiday always scares me. "Why do you build me...just to let me down"

Hutch's record in gold is really quite stellar during its bear market phase which lasted longer on here than you've been posting. His personal prognostications vis a vis individual stocks is also quite remarkable. And he's got another quality you might consider endearing...he leases hoards of physical silver and is very intune with that market as well. DON'T sell the man short simply because he's not convinced of the gold bull's reality. He gets to be "convinced" same as many of his peers and professional associates. Remember, Tom, calling the bottom in a market is extremely difficult, and it is not to Hutch's shame that he is having difficulty calling the bottom in gold.

just some thoughts for your rumination

Tom, speaking of folks having a hard time with figuring out gold, we must consider Bob Johnson in that category as well...

Do you not find it of interest that man has thus far failed to post the winners of his gold guessin' contest for 2003? Seems like he posted the 2002 results prior to Jan 5, 2003 last time.

...or have I just missed his declaring the winner of his annual romp.
