That's the reporter getting cute. "Z" instead of "E" to indicate they are even more Elite. Agriculture Economics is the second one. The only thing lower on the "Economics" food chain is Home Economics.

John Kenneth Galbraith "couldn't get no respect" from his Academic peers when he left the Government after WWII and wrote an Academic Economic book. Why? He got his PHD from UC Davis in the 30s. An Agricultural school. So he said "the hell with it!" and wrote popular books for the public on Economics. His Keyesonian viewpoint was perfectly timed, and he became famous. Nowadays, his books are used for "filler" on movie sets. And Economists he laughed at got Nobels.
