I can see that I mistook your obsession for a darker agenda; of course, your getting banned by SI repeatedly and your humorous claim to be a paid basher slightly muddied the water. But it's obvious to me now that you was too far down the food chain to have played any part in the campaign to defame Rambus and prevent consumer or industry acceptance of RDRAM. You were just one of the little engineers being told what the suits had decided and trying to do the best job you could. You had no way of knowing about potential violations of the law, or the orchestrated campaign to kill mindshare and support. It seemed to me that you did more than talk about the stock when it was $100; some of your most vociferous posts occurred when Rambus was trading at the bottom. I can remember checking this thread for more than a year after Richmond, and you were virtually the only poster, responsible for several, or even dozens, of posts per day, all of them vehemently anti-Rambus, including an amazing amount of research. It must have been a very time consuming hobby. I notice you still invest a certain amount, checking out the skeletons in the closets of a pro-Rambus financial analyst. It would be interesting if, for the sake of balance <BG> you did some research into Bert McComas and some of the other names that have surfaced in the FTC hearing. I bet you could do a tolerable job "bashing" Micron if you put your mind to it. But what would be the fun of that? Oh, BTW, "John Corse" was an indentity on Usenet who pestered anti-Rambus posters, particularly Dean Kent (owner of www.realworldtech.com). He mostly posted on the comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware.chips thread. His posts closely mirrored those of "TF2000" on the Yahoo board and "Sylvestor" (sp?) over here; I always assumed it was the same person.
