This may not be the "proper" thread on which to post about insurance, but I'll do it here anyway.

WHERE is INSURANCE in the economic stats?

Same, I guess, as all to do with medical costs ... HMOs, pharmaceuticals.

WTF is IN the economic stats? Outdated, since none is done here anymore, MANUFACTURING? Turning out products that consumers buy? I know about that "services" sector, where the minimum wage or less who work on tips survive? ... what's that these days: 75% of "GDP?"

Insurance and credit is all the US is "manufacturing," seems to me.

Mortgages, etc.
