But I wouldn't necessarily remember the gamut of the predictions.

What I remember is all the predictions about how badly things would go during the invasion. The anti-war crowd was predicting "Ammegedden." What would happen afterwards was a mishmash, as I recall. It's easy now to see where we went wrong.

The only thing I know I had right was questioning the number of MP units we had it place. They looked woefully short to me, and that turned out to be right. I said the people would be happy we came, and they were. Polls show that.

I now think that the Military critics were right about what the loss of the 4th ID from the North costs us. We would have wiped out the Sunnis there who got to go home without fighting and then took up fighting us now.

"The author did say, though, that the predictions were remarkably consistent."

The author failed to accurately state was that there were
countless predictions that weren't even close to what
actually transpired ET AL.

Where are the overcrowded refugee camps? Where are the
500k slaughtered innocent civilians? Where is the massive
humanitarian crisis? Where is the massive loss of life in
month after month of street to street fighting for
Baghdad? Where is the mass discontent & uprising of the
Arab Street? Where is the massive increase in acts of
terrorism? Etc., etc., ad nauseam......

The list of horrifically wrong predictions absolutely
swamps the scant few that slightly resemble what actually
transpired.
