On the tube, I saw a limey after his BA flight to the US had been cancelled again. "It's those damn Americans - they're all paranoid."

As for the music keeping you awake, I recall several years ago, parked in a motor home a few yards from Manny's Beach Club, on the Sea of Cortez during spring break. Even though the better half and I were vibrated by the subsonics, we slept fine. Maybe you just weren't close enough. 'Course the word Macarena has special meaning for me.
