Hawk, with Bush running, it would need someone like Clark to neutralize the terrorist issue. Besides, he is a Southern Democrat who can bring into the fold people like Zel Miller. So during the primary there are still many uncommited Democrtas who would take all this into consideration.

And yes, if either Osama, Ayman or Mullah Omar is captured then Bush will be hard to beat since he can claim a significant reduction in terrorist threat thereby allowing him to concentrate on the economy since it is still the economy that is the issue. Americans vote their pocket books first.
