Because the scale can be marginal to the objectives of the major. There are lots of examples of majors passing over economic deposits to juniors because they don't fit their current business plan. Placer does it, Newmont does it... and these have been some of the best opportunities over the last couple of years.

The way I understand it, there are two parts in Copler. One that is smaller but has great economics. The other one larger but marginally economic for now. RTZ choice to replace interest in Copler by equity in ANO make sense in that case. Still, Copler can remain a great asset for ANO.

IMO, Copler is only the beginning. There is much more to come.
