I use "discombobulate" a lot, probably because I am so frequently in that condition. I just looked it up and see that it is an alteration of "discompose", which sounds more dignified and is thus not entirely accurate. I don't think I have ever used the word "beauteous", but I managed to work "gaulimaufry" into a Christmas letter after it was my email Word of the Day and was very proud.
