the biggest stat being that only about 1% of the nation is tuned in to the cable news channels during prime time. I had an hour long conversation with my brother last night. He doesn't have an Internet connection, so it was interesting to start to go into some of the deep conspiracy empiricism that pervades cyberspace. At first he was intrigued, then he was skeptical of such an alternative interpretation of the way the world works, then he finally ran away calling me a raving lunatic. <g> Although he didn't deny that staid conservative Christians at one time burned scientists at the stake for making the outrageous claim that the Earth rotates around the Sun. Plus ca change?
