I picked up a little MDSEF after reading this:

Date: Tue Jan 06 2004 12:10
trotsky (NEM's Phoenix project) ID#377387:

this decision to go into production, as well as bringing forward the date of development, is incredibly bullish for the neighboring Lewis project owned by MDSEF. as Madison's management recently noted, its grades are actually better than those of Phoenix ( in fact, its grades are the best ever encountered on the Battle Mountain trend ) , and in addition to that, NEM is practically forced to do some sort of deal with Madison to facilitate Phoenix.
verbatim: "In order for Newmont to resume production from the Fortitude deposit, it will be necessary for Newmont to come to some acceptable arrangement with Madison to acquire some or all of the Lewis Property as Newmont will need to expand its present pit-limits in order to extract the balance of the gold from the Fortitude pit."

so far, the market is only dimly aware of this ( very few people actually read those exploration updates in detail after all ) . but awareness will grow, and with it, MDSEF's stock price.

It's tiny, I'll probably lose my whole investment in it...(for any lurkers even thinking about it<G>)
