Esteban,

You wrote, <<I play internet radio in WinAmp 2.8. That allows me to use the MP3pro plug in that makes 32k streaming audio sound close to 128k quality. >>

Now there's info I can use!...Uh, I think. Your information sounds clear enough, thanks for that, and I'll give it a try. Although, I've learned never to underestimate my "Doofus Power" when it comes to seemingly simple solutions.

You do make it sound so easy, though. Thanks for that.

PS -- I'll PM you when I get in trouble, if you don't mind.

Estaban,

Thanks to you and shadowman for the skinny on WinAmp 5.0 and the preferable earlier versions.

Estaban, I want to encourage you to give Mozilla Firebird 7.0 a try. Google a download location of your choice.

After you unzip the folder, look for the bright red icon that resembles, no kidding, a burning bush. Make a shortcut to your desktop.

Firebird will not mess with your OS or IE. You can have both browsers up at the same time. Or, as I do, set it up as the default browser. Go to Tools > Options > General. There you'll find buttons to push. Tip: Open up all your favorite places using the "Ctrl T" open in new tab feature Then when you push the button "Use Current Pages" the next time you open Firebird all those pages (up to about 10 I believe) will open at once and you just click or tab between open pages. (You don't have to set Firebird as default to make this work.)

I was encouraged to just download and use Firebird to see how I liked it. I liked it just fine! Give it a try.
