I agree... I think he had a decimal point problem with doomed-to-be-single PRC males and put that out as a catalyst, but even at 15 or so million, it is going to be a problem. I think the biggest problem will be the collision of a population's rising expectations versus the descending reality (symptoms of the supercycle bear market Heinz mentioned), plus the likelihood of millions of additional idle would-be workers (you know, devil's workshop, and all that rot). The leaders who stand up and say, "reduce your expectations, tighten your belt" etc. get run out of town on a rail. War and invasion seem necessary, even vitally important, generally for created reasons however. Nobody wants to say that the invasion is a result of 2-year olds who cannot share their toys in the sandbox.
