They already are buyers. The portion of the US economy owned by foreign interests is in the form of govt. bonds. But at some point, as long as the dollar continues to fall, increasing the relative value of their own currency, they will wake up some day and ask why are we holding dollars, anyway? Then they will have a choice: sell their dollars and throw the world into depression, or hold them and lose billions per month. What would you do?
