Ann, based upon what I observe, its the AMERICAN PEOPLE who are against illegal immigration but neither the Republicans NOR the Democrat leaders seem to wish to follow THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE. So, dont pick Bush out, pick all the leaders of BOTH PARTIES. Its downright criminal IMHO and one of my pet peeves. I think one of the problems is we have so many illegals in this country right now its almost impossible to get rid of them. I am quite sure the first step would be the requirement of a NATIONAL IDENTITY CARD, but then many right here on this thread would SCREAM THEIR HEADS OFF. The govt has made it basically impossible for illegals to get real jobs as they have put substantial penalties on EMPLOYERS who hire them so the illegals are relegated to the lower demeaning jobs that many Americans wouldnt accept anyhow. I suppose that is why politicians dont put this on the front burner. (ie they dont want to take the heat for what it would take to eliminate the problem since they dont see the problem as being that big a deal). jdn
