Lizzie,
I'll be honest with you...never have understood the fuss over Robert Kennedy. He always seemed to me like the spoiled rich kid type you decribed. Michael Douglas turned out to be just another womanizer with a humungous ego like his father, so don't admire him either. But I get your point about the rare occasion when a dynasty produces at least one other quality individual. Maybe John & Quincy Adams. Sheesh!hopefully there are more recent examples. Possibly Teddy & Franklin Roosevelt.
After Pres Clinton's Monica escapades, I found GW & Laura very refreshing until unemployment, illegals and other problems became so rampant. Now it seems any of the Dem candidates could do a better job than Bush. We'll see...it should be an interesting campaign. Possibly, he will find a way to change my mind because I do have security worries about a Democrat in the White House. Pres Clinton could have stopped binLaden in his tracks before Sept 11, and foolishly, for diplomatic reasons, missed the chance. We need a tough Democrat--maybe Dr. Dean is the man.
