Good Summary; The 2 companies were not really talking at all. The catalyst for getting communication going again I believe was Genco (owner of the few claims deeded back to Getty for the 600k) who I think deserve part of the credit for putting the jv deal together. And a sweet deal it is for Getty who have kept the 2 known deposits for themselves. If economic, they have the infrastructure nearby. Also the good percentage carried interest, financed, among other things beneficial to GTC in the deal. Disclaimer: I have positions in GTC and GGC.
