In all seriousness Gottfried I have read and I think there is some truth in this that the big boys who play those index options are much more astute than the smaller retail investor who is still likely buying all those equity calls. The total put to call ratio is what I follow. Check out the the put to call ratio/VIX ratio on this page of charts: investorshub.com When it turns down the SMH usually does too. It has turned down.
