Based on the best information available from our Intelligence agencies and the UN Inspection reports at the time -Saddam was a threat. We acted on reasonable assumptions with faith but no proof that we could do the job without huge losses in military lives. A correct assumption. We sent a ship to the moon, which some said would sink into a bog of dust or bring back viralent microbes. We exploded an A-bomb, which some said would set the atmosphere on fire and start a chain reaction. We use microwave ovens and cell phones and live under power lines with no proof that they are completely safe or harmless. But there was definite proof that Saddam was a ruthless killer and a war monger. Two wars and the use of WMD's. Documented and filed. Sig
