GG, I once had a problem trying to re-install WORD. There were two version of it on the puter, one from office and one from Works. I had to completely remove(remove, not delete) all vestiges of any Word program, then re-install the program i wanted. It was a real bear. The WORD program kept freezing like you described when i tried to run it until i was able to completely eliminate all old files and do a clean re-install. Maybe you have a similiar situation. larry

Along the same lines Larry is talking about, is it a standalone version of Word or is it part of Office. What version is it?
