I'm quite sure I never heard that book called lies before.

"Silent Spring" was that the Robins, etc, were not singing because they were dead. Caused by us. The only problem with this is that it is refuted by one of the most respected Organizations associated with "Environmentalism," The Audubon Society.

They conduct a "Christmas Bird Count." The Bird watchers literally go out over Christmas and count various types of birds in the Country. The "count" results are published every year in their book. If you check the bird count in 1940 and in 1965, you will find that there are more birds in the country in 1965. The only group that was down was Raptors. And this number went back up when hunting was banned.

So Carson's premise was a lie. I use "lie" because it is impossible that a Biologist of her stature did not know this. The "Environmentalists" who hold her up as a Goddess know this also. But don't say anything. "Gods Work," you know.

My back yard in California was "The Orange County Raptor Rehabilitation Center." A Bird Hospital. More damn Barn Owls than I ever want to see again in my life. :>)
