wrong- Harvard says this is the worst new hire period since WWII. Worse than the 70s. The BLS numbers clearly show a more aggressive job loss (in absolute terms on a percent basis) NOW than in the 70s. The problem you have Victor, is that you are nowhere near the big urban areas where there are 40% unemployment levels. Know anybody who used to be a stock broker or securities analyst? Or a tech engineer? Or an accountant at a fortune 500? These professions are GONE.
