Clinton raised taxes and created a recession.

Dean promises to raise taxes. Dean, too, would create a recession.

It's a pattern, and they quote Samuelson to justify it.

ROFLMAO!!!...

once Mr. Clinton was elected, he abandoned the middle-class tax cut

I don't recall that ever being a central issue for Clinton. He was rather poll driven, something the republicans seem to critise in public but practice in private (a usual pattern). Through polls and surveys it became clear to the administration what services the majority of the public wanted, and which they didn't. In turn Clinton made it clear that services would be there if they were paid for. He delivered on the promise.

I used to pay huge - mind boggling taxes, because my income was huge and boggled my mind. My taxes are much lower now, not because of Junior's simple solutions, but because he so whacked the technology industry that my income is a tenth of it's former glory (It's merely hard to believe instead of staggering).

In America, and under Clinton, they still only taxed the profits. Taxes are way down now because there are no profits. That is no victory for the American people. Bush presents just one note instead of the symphony that was peace and prosperity.

20 years of Bush/Clinton is the destruction of the middle class. How can anyone here who claims to be a conservative support Bush after his words today.
Other than Dean any Democrat candidate is more conservative than GW. It is time to become libertarian.
