The pep rally atmosphere on SI surrounding various candidates creates a lot of heat but doesn't shed much light. I will be glad once we are past February 3 with a narrower field and some idea what real voters think when they have to pull a lever for someone. I could be happy with Dean or Clark. Given the abysmal track record Yankees have running for president the last 40 years, I am inclined to think Clark has a better shot. Northerners just don't "get it" once they get too far below the Mason-Dixon line.
