"I want to bring a higher standard of leadership to America," the Democratic presidential hopeful told a crowd of about 500 people at the Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College. "We're going to pull this country together."

Clark, one of nine Democrats seeking the party's nomination for president, outlined his goals for the presidency, which he said are based on family values.

He said they include a $100 billion plan to increase jobs and raise family incomes, reforming income taxes so that families of four making less than $50,000 a year would not have to pay and raising federal air quality standards.

Nelson, 87, the founder of Earth Day, endorsed Clark via teleconference as the candidate with the best chance of beating Bush next November. He said he was impressed by Clark's detailed stands on air and water quality issues...>>
