Hawk, I have said in the past that there is no excuse for any society, Arab or US, to kill or maime a human being, no matter what is the crime.

Finally.. a straight answer out of you...

Now... how do you reconcile the above opinion with your assertion that the US (or the international communinity at large), have no right to criticize the Arab world over these barbaric practices.

Honest people can have an honest debate over the efficacy of the death penalty in the cases I earlier described (preditated and aggravated murder.. etc), but I opine that only a fool could justify the killing of an adulterer or the amputation of a thieves hand..

So do me the favor of telling me why the US should not take the lead in pressing the Arab world for progressive change in its legal system and society?

After all, you claim not to agree with Capitol punishment, yet you tell us we have no right to criticize them (while they have a right to criticize us).
