Dean has said a number of things in the last few weeks that concern me...he is not consistent and he seems to shoot from the hip. He also got a deferment to not serve in Viet Nam (due to his back) and then skied at least 80 days out in Aspen, Colorado...Dean's positions are quite liberal too...IMO, Karl Rove would have a field day with Dean and would beat him in a convincing way. I would prefer to have A REAL WAR HERO as our President...Clark would have the credibility to take Bush on in the foreign policy area and have a real healthy debate about the intelligent use of American military power overseas. Clark could also help the Dems make inroads in The South and attract a large number of frustrated Republicans and Independents...I don't see many of them supporting Dean. Clark is building solid momentum and provides the best chance for our country to get the leadership we deserve in The White House...JMO.clark04.com news.independent.co.uk tnr.com Message 19668127 Message 19669106 seattlepi.nwsource.com I'm glad to hear a respected and well-known member of the "holistic/preventive" health community supports Clark... <<...And while Dean has attracted an impressive list of medical colleagues to his campaign, retired Gen. Wesley Clark has won over two of Tucson's best-known practitioners of alternative forms of medicine. Andrew Weil, founder of the Program in Integrative Medicine at the UA, and Dharma Singh Khalsa, a Tucson gerontologist who has written several books on the healing power of meditation, have both given $1,000 to Clark in a campaign year that is pulling in cash from a lot of folks who haven't gotten involved before. Weil, whose eight-week path to health includes a "news fast," said he can't completely ignore what's going on in the world. "I feel strongly about trying to get (President) Bush out of the While House, and I think Clark is the only one who can do it," he said. "Bush and his cronies got in power and isolated us from the rest of the world. I think we're much less safe now than we were." Weil said he has no quarrel with the platform of fellow doctor Dean. "I just don't think he's electable," he said...>>dailystar.com
