** OT ** Well, there's fixing and there's "Fixing".

One next to us, the developer paved the whole back yard and put in 3 illegal suites. He flipped the place and moved on. We were up city hall's ass to get some action, but got NONE.

They classified some of the pavement as "patio" (making it legal), and had him apply for a permit to do what he had done inside. The rules are overwhelmingly tilted in one direction, and it ain't conservation.
