orca, I never saw the, so called Bush,Hitler ads, but have seen two other vile attacks on Bush, sponsored by MoveOn. Sure the RNC is upset. Put yourself in their shoes, and let's see how you would react.

Goldwater mentioned the possible use of tactical nukes, which would have ended the war, and saved thousands of American military peoples' lives. Because LBJ won, the war plodded along without the military being allowed to fight the war, as it should have been fought, and let the returning vets take all the scorn from the hippie generation, which including spitting on them as they marched down the street to be deactivated.

The war was a bad war, but once in a war, we must use every military tactic to defeat the enemy, or just get the hell out. JFK ballooned a small force of advisors, and turned it into a full fledged war. Then LBJ just kept pouring troops into a losing battle. I am from Texas, and know what a dishonest, conniving, crooked, man he really was. What he did as President is what gave the fledgling Republican a, tremendous, boost which ultimately led to their domination of state politics. His lack of leadership for the country was, in a way, the reason both Bushs' have been elected as President. And don't give me that old bit about a stolen election. That is just kicking a dead horse that did nothing to deserve it.
