I remember in the first few days all the references to Pearl Harbor Pear Harbor implies not only a hit, but an enemy as well. We're in a defensive crouch now No, we're scarcely in war mode at all. Just think of the mobilization of the home front during WWII. We have improved some few defenses, and those were mainly for show. A real defensive crouch would involve having millions of people going into security, guarding the ports, the trains, the planes, the restaurants. Think of how Israel functions right now. We're nowhere near that. As for effectiveness, well, it will be a long time if ever before we find out if the path we're taking is effective No arguing with that -g-
