A great computer? Well the quality has gone down, but what the heck a computer is a commodity. The coming wave is the enertainment, computer slash, high def television battle. Being that Dell does not build these I am sure they will be there to scoop up the money once they figure which way this the market is headed. In case anyones interested keep an eye on SNIC, it's the company microsoft has chosen to create it's dvd recordable software for window media center. It was up 12% yesterday. A original Silicon Investor member, thus how else could I have gotten name Moneyguy.

I got a guy who is based in Round Rock, TX.

A lot of the tech support that Dell layed off is still around Austin & Round Rock. I understand they hired a few back.

One place to find the ex-support is at Fry's. I put together a home built machine and had some trouble with the motherboard configuration. The support staff at Fry's noticed that the motherboard did not actually support the configuration I wanted to run, got a new motherboard from the shelf and set it up. They plugged my processor, my memory, and fans into it and set the necessary jumpers. I just had to take the working thing home and put it into the case. Those guys used to explain all this over the phone for Dell.
